Italic Text Generator: Slanted Letters You Can Paste
Slanted letters for the places that have no italic button, from comments to profile lines.
Nothing is uploaded: the conversion happens on your device and the page sends no request with your text.
The letters lean to the right and feel lighter than bold, closer to a printed aside than a shout. They come from the same Unicode families as the other styles on this site, so a paste carries the slant with it. Common homes for it are Instagram comments, note apps and short lines above a longer post where the text is already set in capitals.
Where people use it
- Set a quiet aside or a book or film title inside a caption that has no formatting tools.
- Add a signature line under a photo where capitals would look stiff.
- Mark a note to self at the top of a to-do list or a shared doc.
- Soften one phrase in a comment thread instead of writing the whole reply in capitals.
Frequently asked
- Is the slant a font style or separate characters?
- Separate characters. Each slanted letter already exists in Unicode with the lean built in, so the style travels with the text when you copy it.
- Where does italic text break?
- Very small sizes and unusual character sets can drop or flatten the slant. If a letter looks wrong after pasting, shorten the run and try a plainer style.
- Why do some apps show my italic text in a plain look?
- That app or device may not have a glyph for those code points, so it falls back to the closest shape it has. The characters are still there, just drawn differently.
