This is a planning sketch, not a forecast. Subject lines, list quality and the season move the numbers far more than any formula can.
How it works
Sending the holiday season emails
Holiday email is mostly a timing problem: the copy is short, and almost everything depends on when it lands. The four seasonal emails are written to go out in this order, each one a week or two before the date it mentions.
- The sale weekend — a few days before the weekend itself, once the menu and the tables are confirmed. Sent earlier, it is read and forgotten.
- Christmas week — early December, while families and offices are still choosing where to eat; this is the email that asks for a reply rather than a click.
- New Year — after Christmas Day, when the same list is thinking about the last week of the year rather than the first.
- The team party — to offices, in the first half of December, while whoever organises lunch still has room to choose.
Send all four at once and it reads like a discount notice. Send one at the right moment with one clear ask — a day and a headcount — and it reads like a restaurant writing to a guest.
Reading the return estimate
The estimator is arithmetic on five numbers you supply: list size, open rate, click rate, the share of clickers who come in, and the average order. Take the list size from the people who actually agreed to hear from you, not from a follower count. Open and click rates come from your own email tool after a send, so on a first campaign treat the defaults as a sketch. The "come in" share is the one figure no tool can give you: count replies and bookings for a week afterwards and you have your own number for next time.
It stays a planning sketch rather than a forecast — subject lines, list quality and the season move the result far more than the formula does. For a holiday send, check the number against what the room can actually seat before building the plan around it.
What it does and does not do
The templates were written once, reviewed, and stored on this page; the browser slots your details into them. It is not an AI chat, it does not read your website, and it does not promise more bookings.
It does not send email, connect to your mailing list, or fill in legal requirements. Marketing email rules differ by country: consent, an unsubscribe link and a postal address may be required, and those parts stay yours to add.
Questions
Are these restaurant email templates really free?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no paid tier on this page. Copy as many emails as you need.
Does this page send the emails for me?
No. It writes the copy and nothing else: there is no account, no mailing list and no sending engine here. Paste the email into your own email tool or send it by hand.
Can I edit the templates?
Yes. Fill in the restaurant name, the dish or offer and the date, or copy the text and edit it in your email tool. Delete anything that does not match your restaurant before sending — the templates are a starting point, not a finished campaign.
How accurate is the return estimator?
It is arithmetic on the numbers you enter, shown step by step. It is not a benchmark and not a promise: opening and click rates vary by list, season and subject line.
How many emails are there?
Sixteen: four reasons (a new menu, a holiday promotion, the holiday season from the sale weekend to New Year, and bringing regulars back), four emails each, with three subject lines per email. Pick a scenario and the sixteen stay grouped by reason, so you are never choosing from one long list.
When should the holiday season emails go out?
One to two weeks before the date each email mentions: the sale-weekend note before that weekend, the Christmas booking note in early December, the New Year note after Christmas Day, and the team-party note to offices in the first half of December. If your bookings fill early, send each note a little sooner; the copy does not depend on the exact week.
Are these templates suitable for any restaurant?
They are written for independent restaurants in English. Marketing email rules differ by country: consent, an unsubscribe link and a postal address may be required, and those parts are yours to add.
Does it store what I type?
No. The fields stay in your browser, nothing is uploaded and nothing is saved after you leave the page.
